Media Vision

Advancing the Kingdom of God and the campus movement through the use of photography, videos, podcasts and writing to help train and equip students leaders, campus ministers, faculty and administrators and share stories of what is happening on campus.

Values

Personal Connection
Just as "a picture is worth a thousand words," we believe that videos, podcasts and blogs can be all the more powerful as it allows others to connect with the stories and messages that are shared and captured through the use of modern day technology.

Documenting History
The Bible in essence, is a history book written by many different historians who had the wisdom and leading of God to record what was happening during their time so that generations to come would know about all that God did. We want to be good stewards of the movement happening at UT and keep a good record so that future generations can hear our story and continue the legacy.

Sharing the Message
As this is not something that is happening on every campus in the nation, we want to be able to share the principles, values and teachings with others who seek to learn from us and want to see the same thing happen on their campuses.

Mediums

Videos
CRM makes every effort to film and record every campus-wide event that takes place at UT. This includes recording guest speakers so those who cannot make it can still have a chance to listen and see what they missed. In addition, we also create promo videos to inform others about things like the CHOP or SPARK groups, and also record student testimonies as a way to share with and encourage others.

Photographs
As part of our commitment to documenting the movement on campus, we want to be able to let people "see" what happens at every stage instead of just telling them about it. We believe that photographs not only capture great moments on campus that we want to remember, but also serve as substantiating evidence of what God is doing at UT and tell a story in and of themselves.

Podcasts
Podcasts serve as a great teaching tool for  students and campus ministry leaders who want more training and equipping in the areas of prayer movements, missional communities and partnership. These make our principles and values easily accessible to those who want to learn from us but are not in the immediate vicinity for face-to-face training.

Blog
The Reaching Campus blog serves as a resource for those interested and/or involved in campus ministry and presents ideas and teachings from CRM staff, guest writers and student writers. Our desire is to give others a good perspective on what college ministry looks like on every level, from students, to campus ministers, to university faculty and staff.

Twitter
To keep all who are in Austin updated on what is happening on campus and at the CHOP, and inform people about meeting times, event dates and the occasional encouraging scripture.

CRM Media Internship

For students in the Austin area, CRM also offers a college media internship program through the National Media Department, headed by National Media Director - Kimberly Chung. The program is designed to train students interested in the media industry in the areas of production, editing, graphic design, broadcast journalism, marketing, advertising, audio engineering and public relations.

The goal of the internship program is to equip students with practical skills needed in the industry, and to train up highly skilled media professionals who can enter the industry and impact it for Christ. Interns can apply for short-term internships (1 semester), long-term internships (1 to 3 years) or inquire about the intern to staff track. Students from the College of Communication at UT may also apply to get college credit for their internship.

For more information, or to request an application and/or interview for the internship, please email Kimberly Chung at kim@campusrenewal.org. Volunteers are also welcome.
