Justin Christopher
DirectorJustin Christopher is the director of Campus Renewal Ministries (CRM) at the University of Texas. He helped start CRM as a student at UT from 1991 to 1995 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communications. He has worked for CRM since 1995, giving leadership to one of the most unique campus-reaching efforts of our generation. Justin is a true “orange-blood” and has devoted his life to seeing UT transformed by the gospel of Jesus. Justin and his wife Brenda live in Austin, Texas, and share their home with Leon, their black cat, and Lou, their 220-pound English Mastiff.
Kimberly Chung
National Media DirectorKim became involved with CRM as a student in spring 2004 by working with Justin Christopher, praying weekly with other student leadres and helping to plan Rezweek at the University of Texas at Austin. She quickly took over handling the musicians and coffee house for Rezweek and continues to do that every year. After interning for CRM in fall of Dec 2006, she felt a calling to come on staff full-time as the National Media Director and currently runs a college media internship program and the national media department in Austin.
Kim is originally from Singapore, has lived in 5 different countries including the Philippines, England and Australia, speaks 3 languages and graduated from UT in December 2006 at the age of 20 with a degree in broadcast journalism. She was also the former station manager for Texas Student Television, managing 300 people and 15 TV shows. Besides having a passion for media, she is also a full-time musician, plays the piano, acoustic and electric guitar, sings, writes and is the acoustic guitarist and back-up keyboardist for her church, as well as co-leader of the college and young professionals group. Kim is also a huge football fan and is always up for playing football with the guys, or supporting the Texas Longhorns during football season. Hook'em Horns!
Ann Wu
InternAnn is a junior mathematics and business student at the University of Texas. Originally, coming to UT was her last choice, but by the grace of God, she came and fell in love with burnt orange! She was involved with CRM in her freshmen year, praying weekly at the CHOP with some friends, including Justin Christopher. In the second year, she was more drawn to the prayer room and began praying there daily, just as God began marking her heart for establishing a 24-hour prayer movement at UT. Her passion is to see college students unite by joining together to fuel a nonstop prayer and worship culture, while eagerly waiting for God to bring revival to college campuses. Ann was originally from Taiwan and came to the Houston around eight years old. She loves road trips and hopes to travel to all 50 states soon!
Scott Tipton
InternScott is a sophomore Arabic major at the University of Texas. After UT, he has felt the call to attend seminary, although the where of that call hasn't been disclosed (or, possibly, halfway understood). Scott got involved with CRM after being invited by Justin Christopher to a meeting for students after the 2011 Rez Week.
Scott was born in Dallas, raised in Cedar Hill, and attended high school in Waxahachie before coming to Austin; his life has been a long, steady trek south. Apart from CRM, Scott is involved in evangelism to the many international students UT receives every semester, particularly those from Arab nations. His plans after seminary are vague and few, but they possibly include missionary work in the Middle East.
Chrissie Harsh
InternChrissie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 with a BS in nutrition, pre-nursing and Elements of Computer Science certificate. During her college career, she was very involved with Intervarsity. As she led weekly prayer meetings with Asian American Campus Ministry, God grew a passion for prayer and she began praying at the CHOP weekly. She also has a heart for missions all over the world. She has been to Mexico, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Tanzania and Peru for missions! Currently, God has called her to ministry on campus at UT. After serving with CRM, she hopes to be involved in the mission field somewhere in Asia and share the joy of Jesus with unreached people groups.
Ezequiel Vela
Media InternEzequiel, an Austin native, began volunteering for the Media Department in February 2011. He is diligently mastering the art of After Effects and Photoshop and is techonologically inclined, which harmonized well with his studying to become an electrical engineer. He enjoys recording sunrises and sunsets whenever he finds the time, and keeps a ukulele in his car.
Faith Rugen
Media InternFaith Rugen, also know as "Faitheemay" is a first year Radio-TV-Film and Broadcast Journalism major at the University of Texas. Amongst all of the college acceptance letters, she knew that she was being called to UT not only for the great Communications school but because of all the different and exciting opportunities to experience God and what He is doing on the UT campus. She knew she wanted to get involved with some sort of Christian group on campus but wasn't sure which one, so when she saw the CRM Media Internship she knew that that was the thing that God was calling her to do. She has a desire to see the UT campus on fire for Jesus and is so excited to work with CRM to achieve that goal.
Maggie Wong
Media VolunteerMaggie is a junior studying Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas. She was invited to pray with some friends starting early sophomore year at the CHOP and in those times of prayers, God's heart continues to win her over as she learned to call upon him as her Father and Friend! She desires for people to know the love of Jesus has for them through media as God refines and strengthens her heart and skills.
Maggie was raised in Hong Kong and returned to Houston when she was 9 years old. She enjoys witnessing sunrises and sunsets, puns, being with friends, being creative, and loves living in a country where she can worship and eat breakfast foods anytime of the day. She looks forward to the next years as God continues to unravel his plans for her until His return!
Kimberly Chiang
Media VolunteerKimberly, AKA Kimbo, is a second-year Radio-Television-Film major at the University of Texas. She first heard of CRM through RezWeek 2011, and having volunteered with them for a couple of days, she knew that CRM was definitely moving students to be on fire for Jesus. Kimberly's very involved with Epic Movement, the Asian American campus ministry that is a branch of CRU, and is currently leader of Service Outreach there.
She attends Austin Stone Community Church and volunteers in the nursery on Sundays, which she loves. She thinks that this job is the coolest job ever because it is a combination of doing what she loves (making videos and pictures and whatnot) and worshiping God with it at the same time!
Ivy Chiu
Media VolunteerIvy is a second-year studying Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas. Though her day job is being a student, she moonlights as Captain Wildchild--scourge of the serious and uptight, champion of giggles, and strong advocate of loud singing and really bad dancing. She enjoys adventurous bike rides, groovy music, rainy weather, good food, and awesome friends. Her deepest desire is to love Jesus with all her heart, soul, mind, strength and to bring Him the utmost glory with the life she's been given.
Ivy attends Echo, the college ministry of First Evangelical Free Church, and serves on its welcome team, worship team, and in children's ministry. God has given her a burden to invest in other believers, so she serves as a Co-Chair for Ignite, a ministry that seeks to serve incoming freshmen by showing them their first glimpse of the Body of Christ at UT. She looks forward to serving at CRM and using media as a tool to make Christ's name known on campus.
